VFI08 is a joint initiative between the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network (HSAN), and online ad network and marketing company, CPX Interactive. The overarching purpose of the joint initiative is to serve as a call-to-action to America's youth vote, emphasizing the importance of connectivity to the growing national political spirit and the necessity of empowering one's self thru the exercise of the most basic responsibility that is the right to vote.

The Hip Hop Summit Action Network (HSAN) is a non-profit, non-partisan national coalition of Hip-Hop artists, entertainment industry leaders, education advocates, civil rights proponents, and youth leaders united in the belief that Hip-Hop is an enormously influential agent for social change which must be responsibly and proactively utilized to fight the war on poverty and injustice. HSAN is dedicated to harnessing the cultural relevance of Hip-Hop music to serve as a catalyst for education advocacy and other societal concerns fundamental to the empowerment of youth.
The VFI08 initiative echoes HSAN's commitment to the idea that youth can (and should) empower itself thru involvement in the processes that affect social change. The organization has leveraged its brand relationships in creating an initiative that it hopes will stoke the fires of political involvement that have already begun to burn in this political season.
CPX Interactive is a progressive online ad network and global marketing company. For its part, the VFI08 project is collaboration between two of its own internal divisions; Caliber 1 Media is the network's music and entertainment division, while CPXample is the network's philanthropic division.
In forwarding the company's own belief that "..with power, comes responsibility" CPX Interactive has donated its creative vision in the execution of the VFI08 video PSA and will leverage its vast online reach to targeted online audiences in order to both launch the PSA video and to generate continued awareness of the VFI08 initiative.
The first project for the VFI08 initiative is a video public service announcement. The PSA video features an impressive stable of hip-hop artists (both current artists and veterans), and a few high profile guests that happened to stop by during filming. The video will initially be distributed directly through the CPX Interactive online network and will then be "picked up by" more traditional media venues that have a history of supporting social causes.

Will your voice be heard?
Will your vote be counted?
